About
Who is Sara?
I am a mass timber estimator with a love for architecture and a passion for sustainability. I have a diploma in Architectural Technology and a Revit Essentials Certificate from SAIT. I’ve also earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Architecture from the University of Calgary. My diverse educational background speaks to my passion for the built environment and its unique relationship to its inhabitants and surroundings. I believe architecture exists at an interesting intersection between technology and the environment, thus my main areas of interests pertain to mass timber, sustainability, and BIM technology. The tools used in the AEC industry are constantly evolving and throughout my studies I have utilized a variety of architecture/building related software, therefore, I consider my ability as a quick learner to be one of my strengths. My experience using software in projects range from collaborative modelling using BIM software such as Revit and Cadwork, 3D modelling in Rhino, and creating presentation graphics using design software such as Adobe Creative Suite among others.
I am adaptable, self-motivated, and a strong team player who is always eager to take on new challenges that allow me to develop my skills while also learning new ones along the way!
